Dr. Star Gregory

Dr. Star Gregory is a native of New Jersey. She earned her undergraduate degree with honors from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, and went on to graduate with honors from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Gregory moved to Illinois, where she practiced at a full-service veterinary hospital for two years. She later returned to the South and founded Zutilla Veterinary Housecalls, a mobile practice serving the Atlanta suburbs, which she operated for three years. She also served as a veterinarian at Fulton County Animal Services in Atlanta.

In 2015, Dr. Gregory relocated to Dalton, Georgia, where she spent two years working with National Spay Alliance Foundation. In 2018, she founded Zutilla Pet Clinic, bringing together her diverse experience in general practice, shelter medicine, high-volume spay and neuter, vaccine clinics, and wellness care. She believes this wide-ranging background uniquely prepared her to create a practice focused on helping pets live their healthiest lives. In 2025, she further expanded her skill set by becoming a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Gregory enjoys practicing taekwondo and has recently taken up running. She lives in Dalton with her son, Eli, and her rescue dog, Storm.

Sophie: Comfort Coordinator ???? (and yes, she takes her job very seriously)

I started off as a street cat and was being cared for by a nice man. But I started to develop some skin issues that caused me to itch terribly. My coat was patchy, and my skin was covered in scabs. The man that was caring for me was unable to alleviate my discomfort and felt my life was not one of quality. He brought me to Zutilla Pet Clinic to relieve my discomfort…permanently, if you get what I’m saying. Dr. Gregory thought she could help me and elected not to send me over the Rainbow Bridge. I’m now feeling better, looking better, and have been here ever since.
